CBT as preferred psychotherapy — We suggest treatment with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) rather than other psychotherapies for individuals with panic disorder who are treated with psychotherapy. CBT is an effective treatment for panic disorder [14] and is supported by a greater number of randomized clinical trials with more participants compared with other psychotherapies tested on panic disorder [15,16].
